I’d love to read your thoughts on “Man of Steel” cause I know you and I have very different opinions on it :P
I think my thoughts on Man of Steel are the opposite of most who saw it. I think I want to get into it more then just the movie as well, as Superman hasn’t ever been a superhero I’ve cared that much for.

Fat Kid Rules the World

The story of a fat kid who goes from “nothing” to something. Your classic coming of age story, or finding yourself story. It’s a little different from your usual punk rock movie, or at least any I’ve seen, and your with/routing for the main character the whole time. It makes you giggle at times, and wether you’re fat or not you relate to the the main character at one time or another. You don’t have to be super punk rock to enjoy this film, and it won’t make you feel “legit” punk rock after, but it will lift your spirit.

This is why I love James Franco.

I really enjoyed this movie when I first watched it. It was a bit odd at first, but after awhile it kinda grew on me. After I finished watching it, I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked it.

Yes, very much this. It total starts out weird, but only because I think I had something else in mind of how it was going to be.

Bronson

It’s about what could be consider Britain’s most famous prisoner. It’s a little weird, and for sure “artys” with great shots that almost seem like photographs. It tells the story from Bronson’s view point and you get the feeling of isolation and boredom. It’s not like any other prison movie I’ve watched, that’s for sure. My only warning is there is a fair amount of nudity, mostly male frontal nudity.

Sidewalls

So I can be a sucker for a romantic movie every now and then. I’m not talking something stupid like The Notebook though. Sidewalls is a good example of how life is in these modern times and how alone we all can be. I didn’t cry though, and I cry at movies very easily, so don’t worry it’s not too sad. It actually has a good mixture of moods with a slower pace, that helps set the overall tone. It’s foreign, so it’s subtitles unless your Spanish is good. I also found the main characters funny, enjoyable, and relatable.

Four Lions

This is a brilliant movie and a great example of dark humor. I’m not sure what else to say other than just watch it! You’ll be glad that you did, trust me. I laughed out loud at this so much. I mean, come on, don’t you want to know what’s going on in this picture?! XD

Rubber

It’s a weird, indie movie about a pissed off rubber tire. It’s easily one of the weirder movies I’ve seen, but oddly enjoyable. Don’t except to totally understand what’s happening, and it take a little bit to get going, but once it does, it’s pretty great.
